March 13, 2009, (Sawf News) - Anna Nicole Smith's companion and lawyer, Howard K Stern, and two doctors, Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich, were charged Thursday, March 12, with felony conspiracy.
Stern, who has turned himself in to L.A. authorities, was arrested at 8 p.m. and booked at 8 27 p.m. His bail was set for $20,000, which he paid and was released.
The three were charged with eight felonies for illegally conspiring to provide controlled substances to Smith from between June 2004 and January 2007.
Anna Nicole Smith died in February 2007 at age 39 of an accidental overdose of a combination of prescription drugs.
The sensational charges and subsequent arrests could be connected to a raid on Dr. Sandeep Kapoor's office about a month ago, according to TMZ.
Stern has denied doing anything illegal in connection with drugs and Anna Nicole.
Howard's father, Leon Stern, defended his son telling ET, "It's not true."
