"She had been pretty much asleep for the last 24 hours," her publicist and friend, Max Clifford, told People magazine.
The 27-year-old died of cervical cancer "just before 4 o'clock this morning" with her husband, Jack Tweed, and her mother, Jackiey Budden, by her bedside at her home in Upshire, Essex.
A grief stricken and pajama clad Jackiey informed reporters standing vigil outside the house of the death.
"My beautiful daughter is at peace," she said.
Tweed, who is serving an eighteen-month sentence for attacking a 16-year-old boy in December 2006, married Goody in a ceremony filmed by a British TV channel in February.
He was released on parole January 27, so he could spend 24 hours-a-day with Jade in her final hours, and is on electronic monitoring through a Home Detention Curfew (HDC) box at Goody's home.
Jade's two sons, Freddie, four, and Bobby, five, had planned to be with their doting mom this morning and present her hand-made cards and flowers for Mother's Day.
Jade's ex and the boys' father, Jeff Brazier, will have to break the news to them.
Goody planned her funeral telling her loved ones that she wants it to be "a celebration" of her life. She requested a traditional burial and a service held at a local church close to her home.
