March 28, 2009, (Sawf News) - Prince William played the perfect gentleman with girlfriend Kate Middleton's parents, relinquishing his upgrades on a BA flight to Geneva in their favor.
The swap took place earlier this month when William accompanied the Middletons on their annual skiing trip to Meribel. Will chose to be with Kate in economy letting her parents, ex-air hostess Carole and Michael, savor First Class comforts, sources tell the Daily Mail.
William disappointed friends when he called off a five-star skiing trip with friends to Klosters over Easter, opting to accompany the Middletons instead.
"Wills had lined up a trip to Klosters with his mates but he decided at the last minute to go to the Three Valleys with Kate and her parents," a source told the Daily Mail.
"It was a big step to be invited into the family fold and shows how serious he and Kate have become.
"They are very happy together and Kate loves the fact that now he's in the RAF, she sees much more of him."
Late last year, William and Kate had caused a stir when they decided to forgo their annual ski holiday in favor of spending time with Prince Charles and Camilla at Birkhall, leading to speculation that an engagement could be in the offing.
William, is training to be a helicopter pilot with the RAF flying search and rescue missions. He started an intensive 18-month training course with RAF Kinross in Scotland in January.
His decision to take a vacation so early into the course raised eyebrows, but RAF authorities explained that the Prince, who had already learnt to fly helicopters earlier during a familiarization stint with the RAF, had a relatively relaxed scheduled in his current training as compared with other trainees.
