April 01, 2009, (Sawf News) - After trashing Twitter, which reportedly trashed his relationship with Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer has unveiled a new song, a thinly veiled reference to his relationship with her.
While he is at it, Mayer has also confessed to having kissed Perez Hilton!
Having twittered for weeks, Mayer suddenly gained a whole new insight into the social networking micro site.
"It's inherently silly and it's inherently dumb. If you really think that Twitter is the pathway to spiritual enlightenment, well...It's one step away from sending pictures of your poop."
On his recent cruise to Mexico with his fans - The Mayercraft Carrier 2 - Mayer debuted a new song called Heartbreak Warfare, which comes through as a thinly veiled reference to his relationship with Jennifer Aniston.
The song's lyrics include:
"Drop his name, push it in and twist the knife again; Watch my face as I pretend to feel no pain, pain, pain."
And the chorus goes:
"If you want more love, Why don't you say so?"
Mayer plans to record the track in mid-April for his upcoming CD Battle Studies.
"The concept of the album is the war of love - the art of war of love," Mayer explained. "Sometimes instead of saying 'I love you,' people can't recognize that. They recognize how much you come to their aid when they are in pain."
The song starts at 3:20 in the clip below but Mayer's introduction before that is worth a listen.
Something else happened on Mayer's cruise. He harked back to rumors that surfaced a year back about him and Perez Hilton tonguing in a club.
In January, while promoting his new book, Hilton dished "He's a really good kisser and that really happened."
John Mayer has now confirmed the rumor.
"You're damn right I made out with him in a club," he told his cheering fans on the cruise. "I absolutely made out with him in a club!"
His explanation was "Maye-rish"
"I can't stand the guy who acts like he just turned gay yesterday," he said, admitting he was "thinking about going gay" until Perez "turned into the spokesperson."
