April 20, 2009, (Sawf News) - There is no mention of Madonna’s horse being spooked by photogs in the accident report filed by the Madonna camp, say cops.
"There is no mention of photographers. It's a matter of spin control that went out of control. If they felt there was something else, they would have written 'paparazzi' in the form -- if they felt there was a problem,” Sgt. Herbert Johnson from the Southampton Village P.D. told TMZ on Monday, April 20.
After her fall from a horse on Saturday, her rep, Liz RosenbeRosenberg, released a statement that read:
"The accident occurred when the horse Madonna was riding was startled by paparazzi who jumped out of the bushes to photograph the singer, who was visiting friends on Eastern Long Island over the weekend. Madonna will be having further tests and will continue to remain under observation by doctors."
On Sunday, a shutterbug supposedly involved in the accident told TMZ that he had left the scene before the accident occurred.
"If I had startled the horse, I would have gotten pictures," the paparazzo said.
Elsewhere, on Sunday, Madonna was seen and photographed in good spirits on a beach in the Hamptons. She posed for photographers who assured her they were not the ones who spooked her horse.
When they asked her how she was feeling, she responded, “better,” reports the Daily News.
