April 21, 2009, (Sawf News) - I may not have been politically correct but I was biblically correct, Miss California, Carrie Prejean, told Matt Leur this morning.
Matt Leur asked Carrie whether she would answer the gay marriage question that Perez Hilton asked her during the Miss USA pageant differently, if she had a second chance.
“No. I wouldn’t have answered it differently. I think the way I answered it might have been offensive to people…but I said ‘No offense to anybody.’ I did not want to offend anybody. But with that question specifically, it is not about being politically correct. For me it was being biblically correct.”
Carrie asserted that taking the middle ground goes against what she stands for.
“When I am asked a specific question, I am going to give a specific answer. I am not going to stand in the middle. I am going to take one side or the other.
“I am so proud of myself and I have so many people that are so proud of me. It wasn’t what god wanted for me that night.”
