The 25-year-old singer was found to be dehydrated and spent the night at the hospital.
"She fainted at home and they took her in for observation, mainly to do with her medication to check everything was OK," said her publicist in the UK, Chris Goodman.
"They told her that she was dehydrated and needed to drink more water," he added.
Winehouse is headlining the St Lucia Jazz Festival next Friday.
