May 19, 2009, (Sawf News) - Amy Winehouse was rushed to the hospital for a third time in as many months after heavy drinking, raising concerns about her ability to perform at a comeback gig on May 31 at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire.
Amy's friends called an ambulance after she fell ill on Friday at her luxury villa in St Lucia in the Caribbean. She was discharged the same night, reports UK's Sun.
Amy disappointed fans earlier this month during her first gig of the year at a Jazz Festival on the island.
During an hour-long set she suffered a near meltdown, forgetting lyrics, appearing distracted and inadvertently flashing her underwear.
"Amy's gig might as well be canceled now," a friend to the singer told Sun. "She's not going to make it. It's not worth her while even if she does make it, it will be a shambles.
"She is not ready for it and she proved it at the festival."
Late last month, Amy was taken to a hospital in St Lucia after she fainted at her home there.
The 25-year-old singer was found to be dehydrated and spent the night at the hospital.
