Titled The Price of Beauty, the show will focus on how women struggle to conform to society’s perceptions of beauty, a subject that Simpson appears to have taken to heart after her appearance in Mommy jeans at a country music concert in Pembroke Pines, Florida, in January drew adverse comments in the online media.
In the planned show, “she and a friend set off on a road trip around the world in search of what people find beautiful and why," a source tells Us magazine.
Jessica will be hands-on with the show, even emulating some of the "shocking things that women do to make themselves beautiful. Picture Fear Factor," adds the source.
Jessica’s rep confirmed Simpson’s project, telling Us.
"Jessica is indeed working on a new show, but network details have not been finalized at this time."
Simpson’s first tryst with reality TV lasted four seasons, from August 2003 through March 2005. Her marriage with Nick Lachey lasted just a little bit longer, from October 26, 2002 to December 16, 2005.
