June 06, 2009, (Sawf News) - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are finally ready to walk down the aisle, prompted by rumors that their four year old relationship is under strain, reports a UK tabloid.
“Usually it’s Brad who wants to talk marriage. But this time it was Angie. An aide sent them all the Press clippings about their ‘relationship problems’ and Angelina said it was probably best if they married to put an end to the stories. Brad’s face lit up – he was thrilled,” a close friend of the couple told the Mirror.
Jolie and Pitt, who had earlier sworn off marriage in support of gay wedding rights, appeared to have relenting when Brad Pitt told Ann Curry on the Today show in December 2008 that he will marry Jolie only if it is important to their kids.
The couple reportedly plans to tie the knot in New Orleans once their current filming commitments are over. Their six children would be involved “in a big way”, the friend added.
Jolie is winding up filming for the spy thriller Salt. Pitt who had taken time off for Daddy duties has resumed work; he was recently at a studio in LA for the pre-production work related to his next film based on the 2003 book, Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game
There have been reports of an impending wedding in the past, none of which turned out to be true.
Earlier, it was falsely reported that the couple married in New Orleans on Saturday, March 29, 2008.
