Sandra, 44, stars as a pushy boss who forces her young assistant (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her in order to keep her Visa status in the U.S. and avoid deportation to Canada.
Asked if, like the character she plays, she had worked herself to a place where she realized that she had no balance in her life.
“I did…and I didn’t realize I didn’t have a balance. Work was everything to me,” Sandra responded. “It was my love life. It was my happiness, my family until I did not know what were weekends anymore.”
“Until something was placed in front of my face that became more important than the work that I was doing. I didn’t feel anything was missing. I had everything I wanted.
“I was shown something that just naturally made me shift my priority.”
Host Seacrest asked her what was she shown?
“I was shown a very sweet person,” she responded
“Jesse?” asked co-host Ellen.
“Maybe,” she responded.
Bullock married motorcycle builder and Monster Garage host Jesse James on July 16, 2005. They met when Bullock arranged for her ten-year-old godson to meet James as a Christmas present.
The Proposal hits theaters on June 19.
