Speaking to People magazine for a collector issue dedicated to her and Demi Lovato, her best friend, Selena says:
“I think everybody has their own interpretations of love. I've cared a lot for people. I don't believe I've been strictly in love.”
While Nick Jonas has reconnected with his ex, Miley Cyrus, New Moon star Lautner continues to remains single. So could she be more than just friends with Lautner?
“I can't really say,” Gomez said.
Selena, 16, takes pride in her ability to make and keep friends, like Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato, with whom she is set to appear in the family comedy TV film Princess Protection Program.
Lovato reciprocates Selena’s sentiments.
"I'm very protective of our friendship," Lovato, 16, says.
If she and Selena were to fall for the same guy, they would both put their friendship over the romance.
"I think I'd be like, 'You can have him, because I don't want to ruin our friendship.' Then she'd be like, 'No, you can have him,' and then we'd end up not liking him."
