July 02, 2009, (Sawf News) - A judge has delayed the guardianship hearing scheduled for Monday, July 6, for Michael Jackson's three children at the request of Michael's former wife Debbie Rowe's lawyer.
The hearing is now scheduled a week later on July 13, reports the Associated Press.
Earlier, this morning, Rowe, 50, broke her silence on Michael Jackson's death on June 25.
"I want my children," Rowe said during a 90-minute phone conversation Thursday morning with NBCLA.
Refuting recent reports that she was not the biological mother of Michael's eldest two children - Prince Michael and Paris – Rowe said she was prepared to undergo any testing - DNA or psychological!
She added that she would not like Michael's children to split up and while she did not expect the court to grant her custody of all three of them, she would be willing to accept it.
The 50-year-old former dermatologist nurse, who relinquished custody of her children to Michael following their divorce in 2001, says she decided to seek custody following Michael's death.
"We had an agreement... he didn't keep his end," Rowe said, referring to Jackson's death. "It hasn't been easy. It's been painful."
Michael Jackson's will, signed in 2002, grants custody of his three children to his mother, Katherine, with Diana Ross as the backup. It specifically excludes Rowe from his inheritance.
"I have intentionally omitted to provide for my former wife, Deborah Jean Rowe Jackson," the will states.
