Documents seen by the News of the World (NOWTD) confirm Debbie as the biological mother of Michael's elder two children, while never before seen photographs show her tenderly interacting with her children like any other mother.
The documents and photographs could give Debbie a good chance of regaining custody of her children despite her specific exclusion from Michael's will and limited contact with the children since 2001.
Debbie met Michael while he was being treated for vitiligo in the mid 1980s. Long term friends, they grew closer after Michael's divorce from Lisa Marie Presley.
Michael and Debbie entered into a surrogacy agreement on January 23, 1996, following which Debbie underwent an artificial insemination by Dr Hal C Danzer, using sperms from an anonymous donor, resulting in the conception of Prince Michael.
After she became pregnant, Debbie and Michael married, reportedly at the behest of Jackson's mother.
A similar procedure in June 1997 resulted in the conception and birth of Paris in April 1998.
Photographs obtained by NOWTD show Debbie tenderly kissing Prince and cuddling new born Paris for the first time after her birth.
Paris was whisked away from the hospital and separated from Debbie soon after her birth and the pictures were taken at Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills about two weeks later.
The photo shoot was Michael's idea, the photographer who took the pictures tells NOWTD. Michael wanted the children to know who their mother was when they grew up.
"Debbie couldn't wait to cradle Paris in her arms and Michael was happy to let her," said the photographer.
"It wasn't like he was giving her instructions and a list of what she could and couldn't do. Debbie was a natural mum from the off. She was talking to the baby saying stuff like, 'Hello Paris. I'm your mom!'
"In fact, she didn't want to put the little thing down, holding her as she was walking around the room and sitting down with her on a sofa. She wasn't just holding her for the photographs."
Debbie and Michael divorced in 1999 with Rowe relinquishing custody rights over the children to Jackson in 2001.
However, in December 2003, after 14-year-old Gavin Arvizo claimed Jackson had sexually abused him, Debbie went to court to reclaim custody of her children.
Rowe and Jackson settled their dispute in 2005. At the time of the settlement, Debbie called Michael a good father.
