Crawford, 43, recently attended the UK premiere of Clooney's new movie Fantastic Mr Fox. She told Britain's Hello! magazine: "I'm excited to see him and Elisabetta. It's the first time I've gone to one of his premieres that wasn't in LA."
Clooney, 48, is dating Sardinian model Canalis, 31, and Crawford described her as "lovely" and "really sweet".
However, she didn't say whether or not she will be "the one" and said: "Oh, I have no idea. They're having fun."
