November 30, 2009, (Splash News) - Amy Winehouse stayed on the wagon at her father's birthday party, leading one guest to call her "sober as a lamb".
Winehouse's treasured goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield, 13, performed her single Mama Said at the party for Mitch, Winehouse's long-suffering but ever-supportive dad.
Amy has been involved in launching Bromfield into a singing career, allowing her to record on her new record label, Lioness Records.
A source who attended the party said: "She was on top form. A few people wondered whether she'd behave. She didn't turn up steaming drunk and held her own all night."
Amy, meanwhile, has taken up gym workouts with fierce determination. Mitch recently said she works out on home gym equipment up to four times a day. The star this year spent several months pulling herself out of personal problems – including an issue with alcohol – on the island of St Lucia.
The party, noted the Sun newspaper, was filmed for a documentary on Channel 4.
