December 26, 2009, (Sawf News) - Charlie Sheen was released from prison at 7 PM Mountain Time Christmas Day on an $8,500 bond following a hearing.
According to TMZ, alcohol was a factor in the fracas that led to Sheen's incarceration. Interestingly, it was Charlie's wife, Brooke Mueller, who was legally drunk! A blood test administered by law enforcement officials found Brooke's alcohol level at .13 against Charlie's at .04.
Brooke is reported to have recanted her domestic abuse allegation at the hearing; but the police haven't yet dropped the case.
Sheen has been asked to appear in court next on February 8, according to Stephanie Desaro of the Pitkin County Police Department.
Desaro also told OK!, that the 44-year-old actor has been asked to stay off alcohol and drugs.
Earlier on Christmas Day, Sheen was arrested for domestic violence at 11:20 am following a 911 call placed from a home in Aspen, Colorado. He was booked for felony second degree assault, felony menacing and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
Sheen married real estate investor Brooke Mueller, 32, on May 30, 2008. It was his third marriage. The couple welcomed twins Bob and Max, born on March 14, 2009.
