Casey reportedly spoke to them separately over the phone. She told them that she and Tila were not together and she had met Tila just three days before her 'engagement,' which Tila filmed and posted as a YouTube video.
One of the friends claims Tila was in the room with Casey during their telephonic conversation.
Meanwhile, Tila has been dealing with her grief in a manner that has become trendy these days - doing the media rounds. Tila has given heart wrenching interviews to outlets such as People, Extra and Radar Online. And since we live in twitter-times, she has been tweeting about her on camera tear jerking, beseeching her fans to watch it.
Tila's grief hasn't curbed her entrepreneurial streak. In the midst of dealing with it, she has also launched her own record label, which too she is promoting over her Twitter account.
Tila plans to file papers to adopt Casey's daughter Ava, currently in the custody of Casey's mother Sale. The Johnson family wants Sale to bring up three-year-old Ava.
Casey, a lesbian, adopted Ava from Kazakhstan after her attempts to adopt a child from Cambodia were unsuccessful.
Sale will raise Ava along with her 60-year-old, oft married husband Ahmad Rashad, a former football player turned sportscaster.
