COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 12, 2005) - Biotest Laboratories, an innovator in dietary supplements since 1998, has launched a multi-million dollar advertising campaign to announce the arrival of Fahrenheit, the first fat-loss product specially formulated to reverse the natural slowing of a woman's metabolism.

After two years of research and several clinical studies, Biotest developed A7-E™ Super-Thermogenic Gel, a "metabolism activator" that is more powerful, effective, and longer-lasting, than ephedra, the once-dominant active ingredient in popular dietary supplements.

"Fahrenheit is the first fat-loss formulation for women, that we've tested, that substantially stimulates female metabolism," says Tim Ziegenfuss, PhD, exercise scientist and CEO of the Ohio Research Group. "In our pre-clinical trials, we saw the effects from a single dose last for a full 24 hours."

Each year after high school, a woman will typically lose a half-pound of lean muscle and gain a half-pound of body fat, according to Tim Patterson, President and CEO of Biotest Laboratories. "Fahrenheit is the first product to successfully reverse that trend," Patterson says. "If a woman utilizes sound exercise and dietary guidelines, we guarantee that Fahrenheit will be the most effective fat-loss agent they've ever used. There's nothing else even close to Fahrenheit."

In addition to A7-E Gel, Fahrenheit features other proprietary compounds that synergize rapid-rate metabolism while preventing the body from building resistance to the active ingredients. Sclaremax™, a "fat cell controller" derived from a plant called Salvia sclarea, enhances the effects of A7-E by further supporting optimal thyroid function without increasing blood pressure. GZ™ 100 facilitates the production of thyroid hormone, thus fueling the body's thermogenic engine. The overall effect is an increased metabolism and a decreased appetite.

"With just A7-E alone, we've effectively made all other diet formulations obsolete. And when combining Sclaremax and all of the synergists with A7-E, there's a combined effect that must be experienced to be believed," Patterson says.

In addition to a national television advertising campaign that debuts this month, Biotest has also created a Web portal for women at F-heit.com to promote healthy diet and exercise. The site is fully staffed with experts who interact with any visitor who wants to learn more about scientific weight loss. And later this month, the site will release its revolutionary Metabolic Calculator, free to the public.

"We are committed to helping women achieve the type of body they've always wanted, or perhaps used to have," Patterson says. "We believe that Fahrenheit is the most effective fat-loss supplement ever developed. But we also recognize that, without regular exercise and a healthy diet, attaining and maintaining body goals isn't possible. We're sparing no expense on the Fahrenheit portal. We want to help women put together a comprehensive program that not only helps them lose weight, but also empowers them to take control of their bodies. And it's totally free, no strings attached."

Fahrenheit is available nationally at Wal-Mart, GNC, Walgreens, and other retail outlets.
