The embarrassing mistake landed them in prison after the French warship crew nabbed them and presented them to the Kenyan authorities.
The pirates, armed with guns and rockets, were in three small boats, a 1,000 km from the Somali coast.
Of the 97 pirate attacks this year, 27 have been successful. We guess, if you are desperate enough those are not overwhelming odds!
