Houston, Apr 17 (ANI): Former women tennis ace Steffi Graf had to be rushed to hospital for stitches in her lips after being accidentally hit in the face by her husband and tennis ace of yesteryears Andre Agassi.

The couple was in Houston for Agassi’s part in a reality show called ‘The Big Give,’ an upcoming Oprah Winfrey production. The pair was playing a game while holding hands for a fundraiser following the US Clay Court Championships finals on Sunday when the incident occurred, reported The News.

Steffi got the stitches from a doctor who had paid 70, 000 dollars for a trip to play tennis with the couple, officials said.

After the incident, Agassi said: "She’s OK……….it was an unfortunate accident."

Agassi retired last year at the U.S. Open, having won eight Grand Slam titles, while Steffi bid adieu to the game in 1999 with 22 Grand Slam titles under her belt.

The couple has two children and live in Las Vegas. (ANI)
