HONG KONG – 10 May 2006 – Motorola today announced the Motorola ROKR E2 at the Music Matters digital music industry conference, marking the global debut of the newest member of the company’s ROKR family of music-optimized mobile handsets. Designed for the music enthusiast who wants to carry one device, ROKR E2 not only lets users take thousands of their must-have music selections with them but also delivers world-class wireless communications.
ROKR E2 features a MP3 player compatible with a variety of different audio formats – giving users’ flexibility to download MP3, WAV, AAC files and more. Using its USB 2.0 connection you can download your favorite CD or digital music collection from your PC straight to your handset’s, where you can create and manage play lists on the go.
ROKR E2 features are optimized with dedicated music controls on the side and front to Play, Pause and Skip Forward / Backward between songs, plus a standard 3.5mm stereo headset jack and up to 2GB of removable memory for storing all your favorite tracks, pictures, videos and more.
Embedded Bluetooth technology allows you to wirelessly stream audio from your ROKR E2 to compatible Bluetooth-enabled stereo headphones up to 30 feet away. When a call comes in, the music pauses, allowing you to answer the call then resume listening where you left off.
The ROKR E2 has a sleek compact candy bar form factor and large brilliant color screen, perfect for capturing and viewing your adventures via picture or video capture and playback. It features a 1.3 Megapixel camera or MPEG4 video. You can view your pictures in landscape or portrait format, manipulate the image with digital effects and then download it onto your PC via USB or Bluetooth wireless technology.
