Soloist Universal Media Dock From Directed Electronics

Directed Electronics, a major supplier of home audio, mobile audio and video, and satellite radio products, has announced that its new Soloist Universal Media Dock (p/n SOLOD1) will be available nationwide from September.

Soloist Universal Media Dock employs interchangeable cradles (included) to dock many different SIRIUS receivers (either current or available soon) plus iPods. Soloist also comes with a SIRIUS home antenna, IR remote control and AC power adapter. Suggested retail is $149.

According to Jim Minarik, Directed Electronics President and CEO, "Soloist(TM) is part of Directed's extensive accessory product offering that supports the 2006 SIRIUS receiver lineup. Also available in the coming months will be boomboxes, sound cases, travel chargers, portfolio cases, a wide assortment of protective cases and other portable-use accessories, and kits that provide all the parts required for professional installation of SIRIUS plug-and-play receivers in vehicles and motorcycles."

Soloist(TM) uses patented SurfaceSound flat panel technology by NXT(R), and is powered by a 10 watt-per-channel Tripath amplifier. It comes with front panel AUX IN and headphone jacks, rear panel AUX IN and OUT, rear panel USB port, and a built-in alarm clock with snooze button, which can wake the user to their favorite SIRIUS station or iPod song.
