May 20, 2009, (Sawf News) - Sony X-series Walkman MP3 player with Wi-Fi features an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) touch screen and integrated digital noise canceling technology.

X-series Walkman's 3-inch OLED touch screen displays images in exceptional colors at high contrast and rapid response rate. A scene scroll feature lets a user scroll forward and backward through videos and photos at their preferred pace.

The Walkman boasts a built-in digital noise canceling (DNC) software engine to block out ambient noise providing a high-quality audio experience. Paired with its 13.5mm EX headphones, the DNC software filters upto 98.0% of intrusive noise. You can even chose different DNC modes such as airplane, bus/train or office to filter out levels of noise based on the surroundings. The noise canceling feature can also be used without the music for some peace and quiet.

The Wi-Fi enabled X-series Walkman lets you access content from multiple resources like various download stores, FM tuner, personal collection and embedded services like Slacker Radio.

While using Slacker, users can select up to three stations and hundreds of songs will get pushed to the device at no charge. When the stations are refreshed in a Wi-Fi area, the content is buffered and cached on the Walkman player so those tunes can be enjoyed anywhere and everywhere. Slacker also features rich metadata such as artist info.

The X-series Walkman Video MP3 player supports popular audio and video codecs such as Windows Media Video (WMV) files, other video codecs such as AVC Baseline (H.264) and MPEG-4. Its Content Transfer software lets users make “drag and drop” transfer of non-DRM music, videos, podcasts and playlists.

The X-series Walkman can be operated by a touch panel and also a hard key system for quick operation without looking at the display.

The device is available in black with up to 32 gigabytes of internal storage. The battery life is up to 33 hours of music playback and 9 hours of video playback.
