February 08, 2010, (Sawf News) - Google plans to allow Gmail users to post twitter like updates accompanied by photos and videos.

The new feature is expected to be introduced within this week, sources tell The Wall Street Journal.

The new feature is distinct from Google's recently introduced Wave service which is being progressively rolled out to more and more users.
