Video Capability

The P990i has a 2-megapixel camera, with autofocus and digital zoom, which takes pictures and video. The digital camera menu offers plenty of options including night mode, panorama, macro and a choice of image size. You can send the clips you shoot with your P990i video camera as email attachments and in MMS multimedia messages.

The P990i supports video conferencing. If the caller has similar equipment both parties can see eacy other in live streaming video as you talk. The integrated camera has two separate lenses. Both can be used during a video call. One is conveniently positioned for face-to-face video calling, and the other is designed to be used in horizontal mode when taking pictures or shooting video.

The P990i has the capability to scan a business card, convert it to text and save it in your contacts. Business Capability

You can read and send email, SMS or MMS using the onscreen keyboard, handwriting recognition or the P990i backlit thumb keyboard. The P990i has a wide range of document readers so you can open, edit and re-send attached document.

One way to write an email or message is to use handwriting recognition. The P990i recognizes each letter and transforms it into digital text. This smartphone also has an easy-to-use keyboard just under the screen, and you can always type your message with the stylus on the onscreen keyboard. Both keyboards can be used simultaneously. When the flip is closed, you can enter text easily using the P990i's phone keypad and predictive text input.

The P990i uses Symbian OS 9.1. A wide range of applications are available for download - from useful business tools to entertaining games. It ships with calendar and contact management applications that can be synchronized with your PC. The P990i will synchronize with your PC over cable, Bluetooth™ and infrared. If you don’t have your PC with you and you want to check the status of an appointment, you can also synchronize remotely over the air.

The P990i is a true mobile internet device. It gives you broadband access to the internet allowing you to browse using the integrated Opera 8 browser application. Alternatively you can use it as a high speed modem for your laptop or computer. It can also wirelessly connect to your office LAN and if you’re close to an airport or other WLAN hotspot, you can enjoy full-speed data as if you were in the office.

The P990i has an easy-to-use digital music player designed for optimal audio quality. It also comes with ready-to-run music transfer software. With it, you can copy music from an audio CD or other digital music on your PC to your phone. Quick and easy

A built in FM Radio lets you stay updated with the latest news – current affairs, business news, discussions, entertainment and reviews round the clock. With the P990i's RDS FM Radio, you can have up to eight preset radio stations and switch easily from one station to the next. You can also set the P990i's RDS FM Radio to play at any time and use it as an alarm clock.
