Sony Ericsson takes walkman to the next level. The W950i Walkman is a slim and stylish 3G phone with an advanced digital music player and large touchscreen for optimal ease of use. A touchscreen and stylus make it a comfortable way to choose and open menu items.

The keypad of the slim W950 is smooth and flush with the surface, and the dedicated music player keys and other controls have one-press-to-open functionality.

High speed internet access helps users to download hit songs to W950 wherever they are, in seconds. Thousands of songs can be transfered from your PC music libraries wirelessly or using a USB cable (supplied in the W950i kit). The UIQ software used for the Walkman player makes it easier for users to handle large numbers of songs, finding and sorting tracks by artist or album, to quickly pick the track they want to listen to. User can see what album is playing. The graphically advanced Walkman player features album art support - the album covers are shown onscreen.

Unlike earlier music phones that lacked enough memory, the W950 comes with an impressive 4GB of flash memory, which allows you to store up to 4000 songs.

The W950 music kit comes complete with all that you need to start enjoying music on the walkman phone. The kit includes Music management software, USB cable, a stereo headset, and the W950 Walkman® phone.

The phone includes support for Bluetooth stereo headsets. Sony Ericsson has also announced a Stereo Bluetooth Headset, the HBH-DS970 along with W950.

W950 is more than a phone with a music player. 3G makes surfing the Web on the go a fast and satisfying experience. The Opera 8.0 Web browser gives you the internet browsing experience you're used to and you have everywhere access to your favorite websites. The touchscreen and stylus lets you click and scroll on links, as you would with a mouse, and makes the interactive mobile internet pure pleasure.

Sony Ericsson expects their user base for W950 to be younger, primarily in the age groups of 20 to 35. They also expect this phone to attract a new category of users because of the ease of its use.
