PENTAX is planning to exhibit its range of digital SLR camera products currently under development at the Photo Imaging Expo 2006. This is one of Asia's largest annual photo and imaging merchandise fairs, and will be held from March 23 to 26 at Tokyo Big Site in Ariake, Tokyo.

Included amidst the products to be exhibited is a new, yet to be named, digital SLR with a 10 Megapixel CCD.

Pentax launched its first digital SLR, *ist DS in Dec 2004. Its new offering represents a significant advance over the 6 Megapixel sensor of the *ist DS and puts it ahead of market leader Canons' flagship EOS 30D Digital SLR with a 8.2 Megapixel sensor.
